Once you have logged in to Tell The Telegraph, you will see a list of live forums on your screen.
A forum is an area where everyone can chat together about a particular subject or topic of interest.
Each of the forums covers a different subject of conversation, and you can go into as many of the forums as you like, and talk about as many of the subjects that interest you.
Just click on "view forum" to join the debate or click into a forum in the right hand bar.
Once you're in a forum you will be taken straight to the debate, where you can read what everyone else is discussing.
There may be a number of different topics or "threads" live within the forum. Just click on the ones that interest you, and you will see all the comments made so far.
To let everyone else know what you think, click on "reply to this post". This will open up a new comment box, so you can type in whatever you like.
Once you've entered your text, click "post", and your reply will appear beneath the previous post, and the discussion will continue.
On some forums, you will be able to start a new discussion of a topic that you choose. Simply click on "New topic" and post your comment, and this will appear as a new thread of discussions for other members to reply to.
There will be occasions, though, when sometimes you will not be able to start a new discussion, but only reply to existing topics. When this happens it is because we need to keep the discussion focused on a specific topic.
You will sometimes see posts and replies from the "moderator". This will be one of the team running the site, who is here to ask you questions and get your responses to topics that we are interested in.
All Tell The Telegraph members are able to add a picture which will be displayed whenever you post a comment. Go to your profile page and click on "picture" and you will be able to choose a standard image, or upload one of your own. You can change your picture whenever you like.
To choose a picture now please visit your profile.
